How to get stuck on sap off

Hey guys,

 

My dad has a 2002 Trailblazer that didnt get the detail treament it should have. Well a couple weeks ago my dad finally decided to clean it up and when he did he noticed sap basically backed on the hood since the truck wasnt washed in forever. Would anybody know of any ways possible to get the sap off. I though maybe a clay bar but idk how that will work when this has been sitting on there for a while. Any ideas will be helpful.

You could try 3M Adhesive Remover. Then you would need to Polish & Re-wax.

Do not try to abrasively take it off with clay or rubbing. You will do more damage than good. You will want a strong chemical like the 3M (PAINT SAFE) adhesive remover (Better known as general adhesive remover) to easily swipe it off. claying the crap out of it, or a cleaner wax rub to hell will do more damage than just leaving the sap there from my experience.

I use 3M adhesive remover as well..haven't found anything it hasnt worked on yet.

I am a total 3M adhesive remover fanboy and I had sap on my wifes Enclave that it wouldn't touch. Clay took it right off.
