Jrosacker
What does everyone have for a pressure washer? Looking for a solid, reliable pw. Also any good generator brands out there? Thanks!
chops1sc
Mine is a Greenworks 1600psi electric $99 from Lowe's. 1 1/2 years old and still going strong!
csikx
2nd the Greenworks. Can't beat the price and reliability for a car pressure washer. Sometimes you'll catch it online for $79 or $89 too. Edited November 21, 2016 by csikx
Jrosacker
Is 1600psi enough? I'm starting a mobile detailing business
LT1xL82
Pressure washers seem to have become disposable. A cheap unit from a big box store would be a good first PW. Tons of pressure and flow is not needed for car washing. Honda makes great generators...pricey however.
sahls01gmc
I'll let others speak about power washers, but I'll give you advice on a Generator. DO NOT go cheap. You get what you pay for. The cheap Generators from the box stores won't last long. They also have cheap components on them that don't regulate electricity well enough, which means everything you plug into it will be affected. Smooth, "clean" power keeps your equipment from shorting out or burning up. Also, the cheap Generators have zero sound suppression, and you won't want to listen to that while you're detailing. Plenty of great portable brands out there that are quiet and reliable. Should you opt for a permanently installed Generator, there's only 1 brand.....Cummins, and I work for them. Let me know if you have more questions about Generators, I'd be more than happy to help! Edited November 21, 2016 by sahls01gmc

Goose8651
I hated the Greenwork Pressure Washer I had bought. I blew two seals on two different units and took them back for a refund. I bought a Kranzle instead and it has been fantastic. Like others have said, you get what you pay for.
goheels
I have an Ivation 2200 psi/1.8 gallons per min electric pressure washer. $150. I've only used it a handful of times so far, but so far I'm very impressed.
chops1sc
If you are going mobile wouldn't you want a gas powered unit? And 1600psi is plenty. I personally wouldn't go over 2200 for car paint. Just my personal feelings.
