which pad for beginner with porter cable

okay well im getting a 5inch L.C. backing plate, and was wondering which L.C. 6.5inch pad I should get? Should i get an original flat pad or a foam pad, or a totally different pad? I have never polished before but i have read and watched alot of stuff on polishing, and i have all the stuff except the plate and pad which i will order today or tmrw soon as i figure out which combo i should get.  Thanks in advance.

Get the Adams backing plate and the two polish foam pads to start.   You might want to get 2 of each pad to play it safe.   Then since it is first time if you snag it on a corner of something you would have a back up.

 

I would also get the sealant, and polish pads if the finances allow it right now.  Here are a few options:
