Numbr3t
My moms car was in much need of a detail. So for her birthday I told her I would take care of it...boy was I in for a treat. I'm not sure she has ever even had the thing vacuumed, the leather was in need of cleaning and conditioning and the door panels needed to be scrubbed. For the outside, there weren't many swirls at all because of the lack of washing but there was tar spray ALL over this thing along with some pretty decent scuffs and scratches on the pass side quarter panel and rear door where she hit the garbage cans. The paint itself felt like sandpaper and overall just looked dull... Edited June 15, 2013 by Numbr3t

Numbr3t
Thanks guys! She says she's going to be better about keeping it clean, we'll see. I told her just to call whenever it needs it. I'd rather do it than the local place she goes to sometimes.

Fit08
Good job, this was a true "family" car with all the usual dirt and scuffs. It does take some time to turn around for sure, but well worth it when you see the look on their faces!

Numbr3t
Yeah this is a family taxi for sure. My mom drives all the grand kids around and is always on the move.
AmethystBMW
Danny - Did you use anything other than the clay bar to remove the tar? My truck always gets it and I hate trashing a piece of clay to remove it.

Numbr3t
I used the clay for most of it unfortunately. The really thick stuff I sprayed bug n tar remover on. It was such a pain and the clay bar was toast afterwards. That was the first time using the focus pads on the drill and they were awesome! Yeah I liked the GMFS reflection shot
Numbr3t
On a side note , what would you guys charge a customer to do what I did to this car? Obviously I didn't charge my mom but I'd like to get an idea of what you guys would charge.
blackpearl
A vehicle that size, and that trashed...at LEAST 700...And that's being generous. That's less than 50/hr...
Numbr3t
Wow, I can't imagine people would pay that. A lot of work went into it and it was night and day difference but a lot of people get turned away with the prices I already give them!
