OK, so my work truck is in great shape , nice, shiny paint but my tailgate took a beating over its life time, nothing could be done with it, paint all jacked up , so......
I decided to repaint it myself, knowing it would be difficult but worth a shot.
Sanded the entire gate, some down to the metal.
Then I primed it using Dupli-Color.
Next sprayed three coats of DC white to match my truck.
Then sprayed three coats of clear by DC.
So after it was all done I wet sanded and was time to polish to a shine.
I had to compound it to remove scratches left behind sanding but had no shine.
That's when Adam's came through for me, amazing:)

It came out nice if I may say so myself, used the 4" focus pads for all of the compounding and polishing using a my drill.
Before
After Adam's
Good shine

If you don't have the Focus pads get them, worth every penny:)
Note: decided to debadge before starting the process, looks better IMHO
