czaplinski
What can I do to get a uniform appearance on the underside of my hood? The black matte appearance is blotchy in spots. The previous owner may have used some cleaners to get the look he wanted but did not succeed.

But generally, if the previous owner used something on it you may want to start by cleaning it with APC (or a 50/50 mix), and then SVRT, In & Out Spray, or Undercarriage Spray should get you there.
