JBlack151
1978 Corvette 25th Anniversary Edition Detail Although these years of the Vette's in the 70's were not my cup of tea this one has a special place in my clients collection. He purchased this car brand spanking new off the lot in 1978 and hasn't done anything to it besides regular maintenance. She sits with 6,400 original miles on her and the shag carpet still flows in the wind. The owner told me he hasn't let one person touch this car for any kind of work so I felt honored to polish away and get her back to like she was in 1978. After a 2 bucket wash I pulled her into the garage to get moving on the paint with the clay bar. Once finished it was time to tape off all the stripes, emblems and trim with the awesome Adam's Professional Detailers Tape. Once completed the next task at hand was to remove the wheels and do some serious polishing on these dull and exhausted looking wheels. I used steel wool on the insides of the barrels with some APC. From there it was time to bust our the Adam's Metal Polish #1 & #2 with the 4" Blue Focus Pads. When I was finished these things were shining! If that wasn't enough I threw on a coat of QS then allowed for 30-35 minutes cure time. Once that was done I topped them off with some Brilliant Glaze for a little extra POP! When I got back to the paint I used the Flex with some SHR, FMP and Revive Polish. I always love getting the chance to use Revive on anything I can. It's one of the most amazing products from Adam's and more people need to talk about their results! From there it was time for my favorite product combo.....Briliiant Glaze and a coat of Americana was applied FTW! When completed my client had a smile on his face that was undescribable. It was like he went right back to 1978 again. I'm always happy to see owners step back to a certain time after making the transformation happen on their vehicles with Adam's Polishes!!! THE Mook
GREAT WORK John! C3 aren't my favorite body shape, but still a Corvette! LOVE that badge too! 1978 made a lot of cars, but only ONE Mook.
Marylander
Wow, I don't think they ever looked that good, even brand new. And I believe a 4speed L-82 is probably the rarest of the 78’s... That's quite a collectable vette, as far as the later 70s models are concerned.

asommers
Wow, I don't think they ever looked that good, even brand new. And I believe a 4speed L-82 is probably the rarest of the 78’s... That's quite a collectable vette, as far as the later 70s models are concerned. You are right, of the 46,776 Corvettes built in '78, only 3,385 of them were equiped with the four speed manual . Just 12,739 of the '78s had the L82. Silver Anniversary was the most comon paint choice though with 15,283 cars painted that color, followed by the black/silver pace car paint at 6,502. A distant third was just plain old black with 4,573 examples built. I've never seen one so beautifully clean though! JBlack is the man!
