my first non-family detail tomorrow...

so tomorrow is my first detail on a car other than my own. a fellow co-worker has asked me to detail his car this weekend for him. it is a 2005 dodge magnum, brilliant black. the car is in some serious help. it has severe swirl marks everywhere.

 

i plan on doing the following starting tomorrow after work through sunday:

 

strip wash

clay

wash - call it a night while car dries

Saturday: severe swirl remover

swirl and haze remover

fine machine polish

machine super sealant

Sunday: revive

brilliant glaze

buttery wax

 

hope to take some before and after shots, if i can get my camera to cooperate.

Don't use Revive after MSS, it will remove the MSS. Use it after FMP, before MSS.

I agree with McHill. Revive before Sealant. Otherwise... I can't wait to see the photos. Good luck!

After I have done everything on my list I do once through everything just double check! Best thing todo is get a white board and make a list! I used white board paint on my shop wall love it.

Your plan looks great but you can skip the revive altogether. As it is just an un needed step once you use FMP.

Yeah..you won't need the revive...if it's as bad as it sounds u may end up using ssr...if your doing the full program then u won't need revive....that's for more of a car not in bad shape...other than that your on the right path...post lots of pics

Make sure you hit the car with some waterless wash before you lay the BG and Americana, just in case it accumulates some dust overnight. Just my .02
