Derajaman
And a pickup truck in front of me hit the gas and looks to have sprayed oil or coolant all over the front of the car! > I just spent a few hours yesterday getting it all washed too! 70'sChevyGirl
Well isn't that a crappy way to start off your morning!! I am not sure if you would need to strip everything with Dawn and start over or not. I know it has happened to an AF member and hopefully they will chime in and give you a better answer than starting over.
Derajaman
Most of the contamination is just little dots, not large puddles or splotches, so I'm hoping I don't need to strip everything and start over Though I did apply MSW this spring and should probably apply another coat before winter... Chris@Adams
Wash it off as fast as possible and you might be ok!
musclejunkie
Might be windshield washer fluid which is relatively harmless.
Derajaman
I wish but it's not. He definitely wasn't washing his windshield while this happened. It was right when he hit the gas pretty hard, and you could see smoke/vapor from under the car well in front of the exhaust tip, definitely from the area of the headers/engine. Ironically the truck looked pretty new too, F-150 probably 2 to 3 years old.
Doug123
I would give it a wash - are you near a touchless wash? If not, wash it down when you get home and then take a look to see if it left any change in the finish? Sorry to hear that - but maybe you will just need a wash.
