JHL88
just a couple things i want to start off by saying is this was my 1st full detail with adams. ive used meguiar's before and i won't go back. this was definitely a learning curve for me. i had about 50% of the car corrected to find out my technique was jacked up and was using too much product and not working it in long enough which caused noticeable micro swirls in the paint. so i started over when i finally got my technique down using junkman's method. i've spent over 20 hours on the PC (probably closer to 30) it was a pain in the a** because its hard to see the imperfections on white paint. It also didn't help i was working in 85-90% humidity with it being anywhere from 90-105 degrees, it killed me. i would say i corrected about 85-90% of defects and the only reason why its not 100% is because i didn't pull out the car in the sun periodically to get a really good look, but i will knock them out next time around;) here was my process using adams stuff on a meguairs G110v2/cordless drill with adams pads: - rinsed, foam gun with dawn, washed using dawn, clay barred then rinsed - SHR 3-6 passes - FMP 2-4 passes - MSS (cured 18 hours) - BG - Americana interior/other: - cleaned vinyl w/ leather & interior cleaner topped with leather cond. - cleaned seats/carpet with upholstery cleaner - MP 1&2 on exhaust tips - MP 1&2 on metal intake tube - cleaned under car & wheel wells with APC topped with UCS - polished wheels with revive and topped with MSS - glass sealant applied to front windshield - used cordless drill orange focus pad and SHR on headlights/day running lights - Meguair's plasticX on headlights/running lights applied by hand - americana on headlights etc. - wiped down under hood with damp microfiber towel - VRT - removed blackout tail-light covers sprayed with DS, applied BG and topped with americana i've also noticed that americana tints, somewhat darkens the color of the vehicle, its pretty cool actually. Comparing it too Pinnacle souveran liquid i used it keeps the light colors brighter and the opposite with americana while still offering outstanding shine. ill have to give buttery wax a shot next time to see what results i get.
