GXPaycheck
So the previous owner used the car as a DD. All 4 rotors have a bunch of rust on the hubs I'm thinking pull the wheels, wire brush the rust, and use some hi temp paint on them. Any other suggestions, techniques? Flash Gordon
You could sand them with 2000 grit and paint them the colour of your choosing
1anonly
Sand them or get them media blasted. Just make sure their clean before they get painted.
Bill-V8V
Sounds like a good plan to me
Chewy
I caught mine before they rusted and just used brake clean and then sprayed them with semi-gloss black. They lasted all last summer, fall, winter and looked good this spring when I put my DBA's on the front. The backs still look great. Chris
Team Adam's
I like your wire brush method... at least thats the way I'd go. Sanding is a lot of work for an area like this and honestly, they're rotor hats. They don't need to be perfectly smooth.
BrianT
Clean them up and use some POR-15 on them!

McDuff
Hey Brian this place is always great in getting new and varied ideas. I agree with everyone here about cleaning the rust off with a wire brush. I have tried a few different paints but what I have come up with is the ceramic paint for brake calipers that you can buy at the car parts stores like Advanced Auto. I painted my rotors and calipers and it has been almost 2 years now. We did my brother Challenger with Eastwoods caliper paint and his look great too. Lots of choices. GXPaycheck
Don't want to pull the rotors quite yet. Looks like a wire brush and some paint. I do like the idea of caliper paint.
