Rich
I just realized today that I haven't washed the Equinox since July!! And it still looks great! A little dusty, some brake dust, but since ceramic coating it, it seems like everything just runs or blows off. Guess I better not wait much longer to get it ready for winter and cold weather. RayS
Sometimes you just have to go out of your way to make someone happy and that was my purpose in life over the last 3 days. Short story, my mothers health is not very good and with all the lock downs and travel restrictions, I have not been able to see her in a while. A few nights ago while I was enjoying a Strawberry Rhubarb pie and talking to my mother she asked me when I was going to get her one. Friday I got in the truck and headed north with a Strawberry Rhubarb pie in hand and delivered to her on Saturday and she was pleasantly surprised. We were able to spend about most of the day on Saturday together and this morning I made the return trip to SC. 1,468 total miles to hand deliver a pie - it was absolutely worth doing since there was no doubt it made my mothers day. RayS
This morning I woke up to a bit of a surprise. This was the first snow that stuck to the ground since 2014 in our area. It was rather cold last night and we were under a winter storm warning for freezing rain. We were fortune that it turned to snow instead of freezing rain. It was pretty much all gone this afternoon except in the areas where it stays in the shade and being back in the 50's on Sunday, that will take care of the rest of it. It was cold enough last night and will be again tonight that we'll let the pool filter run all night to ensure we don't end up with the pump freezing. falcaineer and Bscott94

Captain Slow
Walked out of the office today and took a long hard look at my filthy SS. It hasn’t been washed in a long time, November 23, 2021 to be exact. We’ve been busy with our puppy Loki and life in general. Sunday is supposed to be mid 40’s and sunny. If that materializes my SS, the wife’s Beast and mom’s Corolla will all get a mid winter wash. Captain Slow
We’ve had a reprieve from winter with back to back 50* F sunny days. Yesterday my wife’s Beast got cleaned, today my SS got its turn to be bathed. I did both the same way: 4 gallons piping hot water in a five gallon bucket with Adam’s Car shampoo adding water from the hose for cooling so I could put my hands in the bucket. I started with a rinse to get the loose crud and salt off followed by Adam’s Strip Wash in the foam gun x2 with rinses in between foaming and after foaming. I then refoamed with Adam’s Car Shampoo and used multiple MF wash mitts to clean the vehicles. After the final rinse I doused both vehicles with Ceramic Boost while drying. I have a bottle of a competitors tire stuff to use up so that’s what the tires they got. I pulled both of our drivers side Weather Tech mats and cleaned them with Adam’s Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner then treated them with Adam’s Graphene Spray coating. I also wiped down both interiors with a damp MF towel. Of course rain and snow is in the forecast for Tuesday through Friday. rkj4243, RayS and Nickfire20
rkj4243
Both look great considering the weather the northern states have been having. Fortunately for me, my Corvette is safely tucked away in the garage, my Charger is parked in the drive, was cleaned, just now exposed to snow and rain, but none of the road salt and grime. Daily driver gets at least a good spraying down at the high-pressure wash as the weather allows. Spring can't arrive soon enough..................... Firebuff17
Took down over 40 acoustic ceiling tiles. Installed and wired 8 recessed lights. Installed two dimmer switches in place of the original 2 switches that controlled half of the outlets. The dimmer switches now control the new eight recessed lights. Changed the outlets out so they are now on all the time. And installed over 40 new acoustic tiles. About 25 of them needed to be cut to fit. Oh and 8 of those 25, I had to cut circles in them for the recessed lights. 🤦♂️ Took two 8-9 hour days. But it’s done and the wife is happy. They’re either Tetris masters on another level or they’ve got some of that Dr. Who Tardis technology (the box is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.) Please note I didn’t include the mints, stickers, brown paper packing or sprayer in this picture. Two thumbs up to the Adam’s order packers. 👍🏼👍🏼 RayS and buffalobob920

RayS
While this project has been going on for over a month, we are only waiting on two more parts, new tool box and the aluminum bi-fold gate. The trailer is nearly 30 years old and needed some pretty significant reconditioning. The first two pictures below show the condition that it started on the inside and outside. The next two pictures show it how it came out once the body work was done, new boards put along with almost 100 carriage bolts to hold them. We also put new LED lights along with rewiring it. Once the other parts come in, then I'll add a Graphene coating so it will keep looking good for a while. Captain Slow
Looking forward to warmer weather. This is the SS after I got home from the office Friday night. We’ve had a blizzard and two additional snow events since January 12. Here’s a pic from the ride into the office in the blizzard. This is in town. Visibility in the country on the way in was greatly reduced compared to this view. I was all by my lonesome in the office that day. The following Sunday morning was -14*F (-26*C). If I wasn’t ushering 8 AM service I’d have stayed home. Attendance was half of the usual attendance. I’m not worried about our vehicles as they’ve both sporting Advanced Graphene Spray Coating topped with Ceramic Boost under all that salt. BTW: winter tires are fantastic! No matter what I drive next I will have winter tires for it. Edited January 21 by Captain Slow RayS and mc2hill 1

Captain Slow
Quoting myself: “ I’m not worried about our vehicles as they’ve both sporting Advanced Graphene Spray Coating.” After three days of driving in freezing rain and then just rain, most of the caked on salt is off the SS. Beading is back. Extended forecast is calling for temps in the upper 40’s to low 50’s next week. I CANT WAIT!!! I just noticed the wheels and exhaust pipes look clean. Dang, that coating is the shizz! Edited January 25 by Captain Slow RayS and rkj4243
rkj4243
Car looks great for just being rinsed off by Mother Nature! 😎 Please send some of those weather temperatures to the Motor City area, we currently have mid 30's and rain. Although next weekend it may hit 50 degrees if the weatherman is correct.

It was lots of firsts for this Florida boy - first time in snow/ice/slush, first time in sub-zero temps, and first time wearing long underwear all day! We looked at it as an adventure, and thankfully the brave Uber drivers were always available - my son's car locks froze on the Saturday, so we used them alot (but the plus was we always got into a warm car!). Hats off to anyone that can live in that weather, but it ain't for me. RayS and Captain Slow
RayS
My wife and I made a quick trip to Wisconsin and it gave my brother-in-law an opportunity to show me his new Wash Bay. Let's just say that it far exceeded anything I was expecting to see and it was not the most impressive thing that I saw that day. The wash bay has a heated floor, the entire building is insulated, great lighting and the two black items in the ceilling are just 2 of the 4 in the building that are powered vents. On the back wall, are the two pressure washers, one is connected to the soap dispenser and the other is clean water. The entire system uses softened water and I am pretty sure that every piece of equipment he has will fit in there, height, width and length wise, just not all at the same time. What I don't understand is why Mary just looked at me told me No. I didn't even ask her a question...
