  1. This is one of those days I wish I was on the east coast so I could just pop in to DD and check out their shop. I like the RTU waterless because I don't like the smell of Adam's Rinseless I could be getting my waterless wash products mixed up... I may have too many products on my shelf right now Looks like you are right according to the website.
  2. The Home Depot ones are a joke for any real usage. Been there done that. I was looking at the Tolco full function sprayers http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=42380&catid=807 Didn't realize that Phil had the Venus so cheap. Might have to order one to try out.
  3. Waterless has a wax in it as well. I would do as Jason was saying with using rinseless as a presoak. I do something similar as well. Is the Kwazar worth the extra cash compared to other compression sprayers? Only reason I ask is I wasn't impressed with the Kwazar Mercury spray bottles. Both of the ones I bought a while back (before Adam's offered them) fell apart in my hand as I was using them and damn near hit my car both times.
  4. Also, I tend not to take a job unless I see the car first hand and agree to a price. Mommy cars always demand more time, so that means more money.
  5. I have packages with tiered pricing depending on vehicle size. It gives better value for the customer this way and a list of services performed in each package. This helps set expectations as well and I have found customers generally will go for a larger package in most cases. For anything more than a 2 step polish I charge a flat hourly rate, just due to the nature of paint correction work. Also I offer Ala-cart options as well like glass sealant and pulling wheels to fully detail them. Look at what price point others in your area are charging, and how they have their packages. Don't just copy what they have. Develop packages based on what products you use, and can actually perform. Factor in if you are doing this as a mobile business as well. If you are going to be offering to drive to your customer, that demands more money as well.
  6. All of the gladiator stuff seems really well built, now if only they had an option for something other than ugly diamond plate.
  7. My thoughts exactly. Easier to control the shorter brush and less chance of my banging the handle on a fender.
  8. http://cyclotoolmakers.com/documents/Cyclo_m5-6_instruction_manual_rev_2014.04.09.pdf
  9. Very nice writeup Dylan. Most of it was a refresher for me, but the part about DWC I had no idea about. Good info
  10. Yeah, it would be a limited use case on the fender brush. I have one from another company that I use with a short handle for sections of my wheel wells that the long handle prevents me from getting to.
  11. I like to kinda grip around the bristles when scrubbing my tires (Super low profile, 235/35/19) And chances of the Fender brush and wheel brush getting a short handled version like this brush?
  12. I think the extra volume is nice too. I generally don't try to skimp on product used, so the extra volume means less work for me. Agreed completely. the "B" Sprayer with DWC is a similar situation. It has a nice pattern and feels like a solid spray when you pull the trigger. I've killed too many of the "A" type sprayers that have hardly been used. It has gotten to the point where I started researching new bottles and sprayers that could hold up to a bit more abuse and hold more product. (I'm not a fan of the empty 36OZ bottle shape, a bit difficult to hold when full)
  13. What's the volume per spray of each sprayer? I assume the "b" sprayer has a bit more per trigger pull
  14. The "B" style ones have better spray pattern and feel to them when you pull the trigger
  15. You need to try one. I had the same thoughts, but the cyclo is a great polisher and takes less effort than a flex to maneuver around panels
  16. I would try some APC and use an interior brush (Horse hair or similar) to get the sap out of the convertible top. As Jason said, try out steam will most likely help loosen it, but I would be very careful with the steam on a ragtop. Also, can you catch your fingernail in the hood damage? That might give us a better idea on how bad it is until you post a couple pics.
  17. Smells like girly lotion, baby powder, and daddy issues. Maybe a hint of vanilla. I bought it but I can't say I would want my car to smell like it. Not a great scent. MangoCello on the other hand is amazing.
  18. I must have missed that thread. Any info on the towel you used to get the fine stuff out? I am curious for my own uses.
  19. Agreed. I would say my top would be as follows: - Mango+Lemon - Orange/Citrus - Detail Spray - Leather - New Car
