  1. Thank you. I use paint correcting polish and the flex or the drill with the 4 inch pads, depending on the severity of the swirls
  2. Best way for me to apply the leather conditioner is by hand. I rub it on the seats and trim exactly like if you're using a cream on your skin. After that i wipe with a microfiber towel
  3. Question regarding the progear, does it go over small bumps in the driveway and obstacles like a cable?
  4. Do they sell power washer with psi regulator this way I can tone it up and down depending on my needs?
  5. That looks nice. Don;t mean to hijack the thread but do you know what's a good PSI for a gas-powered power washer used for detailing purposes?
  6. I have the Mytee Firebird steam cleaner, it works very well. The pressure is at 50 and the temperature is up to 350
  7. This is what I do: 1) I spray All Purpose Cleaner liberally all over the bay and let it sit for few minutes. 2) Agitate by brushing the bay with a fender or wheel brush then let it sit for few more minutes 3) spray All Purpose Cleaner again in all the nooks and crannies and use smaller brushers to agitate these areas 4) I use a steamer to remove any tough grime or stubborn dirt and stains 5) Rinse 6) Apply SVRT & In & Out Spray
  8. A customer of mine bought these seats used for his truck and asked me to detail them before he installs them in his truck. The seats were used and it shows. There were tons of stains on the bench seat and the driver's seat, the passenger seat was in a better shape but not good by all means. Enough with the talking and let's get right to it. This is the passenger seat as I received it. I started by taping off one of the seats to do a 50/50 for comparison purposes. And here are the results after cleaning and conditioning half of the seat, pretty dramatic! After I completed the detail on this seat and the driver's I moved on to do tr bench seat. Here's a before and after. Before: Notice the circled stains! After And here's a 50/50 for comparison purposes. Finally, I noticed that the belt receptacles are faded so I decided to restore them by cleaning the inside of the letters where it says "PRESS" and clean and condition the whole receptacle. Here's a before and after. After And here's a 50/50 for comparison purposes.

  10. Can someone provide feedback on the Tornador as a cleaning tool vs a steamer. I'm curious to see if any one here has one and how they like it. I checked few other forums and website and people swear by it Thanks for any help
  11. Id love to see him come back to Adams
  12. Where did you go to read about it? I tried to check the forums but couldn't find anything.
  13. How did he become a free agent, I thought he's with Surf City?
  14. This one was a referral from the client for whom I detailed the Audi last month. The customer wanted to me to do the engine bay, headlights, polish the rims and.......the undercarriage, not just wheelliners or mufflers but the whole bottom/belly of the car. Here are some shots of the car before I touched it. I started with the wheels and polished the metal on lips after cleaning the wheels with All Purpose Cleaner. Here's a 50/50 shot (notice the mark line) Next, the engine bay and used my Mytee Firebird steamer and my detailing brush to loosen the dirt and grime on the engine, cables, battery, etc. Here's a before and after shot Before: After: After I was done with the engine bay I hit the headlights to try and bring them as close to new as possible. Keep in mind that these are 26 years old headlights. Here's a before and after. Before: After: Then I started working on the carriage. The owner has a lift and I was working at his place so that made some of the work easier. I don't have a lot of after shots here because after I sprayed the undercarriage with All Purpose Cleaner and worked the steamer to dissolve some the grease and gunk, it was literally raining garbage on me from the bottom of the car, thank God I was wearing a cap! Here's a 50/50 shot of the muffler, one detailed and one not. Finally, I started my favorite part which is paint correction. The car had minor scratches and swirl marks but they were so minor I couldn't really catch them with the car using the light in the garage and Energizer LED headband I have. I used Paint Correcting Polish, then glaze and finally some Americana paste wax. Here are some after shots.
  15. I received this one on a short notice last weekend and I happened to be free. The owner wanted to have the car reconditioned as he decided to sell it. The car was in a bad condition, inside and out. Deep scratches, rust (nothing I can do there), caked brake dust, etc. but he focus was not on paint correction but more like getting the car back in shape so that it can be sold for a fair market value. The owner has 2 kids and the car was never detailed, so the interior was particularly in a bad shape. As always I started by doing the wheels and tires. I scrubbed the tires and sprayed Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner on the wheels. Here are some before, in process and after pictures: Before: In process: After: Next, the engine bay. I sprayed Adam's All Purpose Cleaner and slowly worked my fender brush over the different parts of the engine and used my detail brush to clean around small areas then I rinsed the whole bay down with just hose water (don't use pressure washer on the engine bay, especially on older cars). Finally, I applied Adam's SVRT for the plastic parts. Here's a before and after: Before: After: Next, the exhaust tips. Surprisingly the tips were not in bad shape so minor metal polishing brought them back to life. Before: After: After the engine bay and wheels were done, it was time for some headlight restoration. The headlights were in such bad shape that visibility at night must have been minimal compared to what it was originally and to what it is now after the restoration 50/50 driver's side done: Both headlights are done After I polished the car (no pics, sorry!), it was time to take care of the interior. As stated before, the interior was a detailer's challenge full coffee stains, melted candy, food, papers, post it notes and more. I used my Ridgid Shop Vac, Mytee Vapor Steamer, Adam's Leather and Interior Cleaner and bunch of microfiber towels. Before and after pics of the interior: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After: Before: After:
  16. That looks awesome and I definitely share that with the owner. Unfortunately I don't own the lift nor the Mustang I was working on! Here's a picture of one muffler detailed to show a 50/50 of the results

    From the album: Details

  18. Thank you Adam and everyone else for the responses and sorry for the delay in getting back to you all. I guess I should have mentioned that this is a 25 years old Mustang that NEVER had the undercarriage cleaned! This was a referral from a friend whom I detailed his GF's Audi and the owner's main goal was to clean the undercarriage, not the paint, not the interior, the undercarriage! I went the easier route, knowing and seeing the amount of dirt, grease and grime, and I bought a Mytee Firebird steamer. I sprayed the whole belly of the car with APC and let is sit, then got a rough carpet brush and brushed the whole thing and that made it look a little better! I then sprayed APC again and let it set it for few minutes, then I used Bar Keepers on the same brush and brush all the components again (tailpipes, transmission, drive shaft, mufflers, etc.). Finally steamed the whole thing. The amount of gunk and garbage that fell from that thing was unbelievable (I made sure I have a tarp). The steamer is really a great tool and I like it a lot. The Mytee produces 50 psi at 350 degrees, can't beat that for $300! My next big purchase on the list is the Tornador, that thing is a beast!
  19. I use Metal Polish #1 and the 4 inch blue pads on a corded drill.
  20. pressure washer is not really an option because the car is lifted in a finished garage with stuff and other car around it, dirt will be all over the place from the pressure washer. I'll try APC and see how it goes.
