  1. Man thank God she's ok and I hope things work out well with the insurance company.
  2. From what you said, I think the waterless wash and the wash pads are the problem. First, I will start by washing the wash mitts very well, maybe few times, just to make sure that no particles are stuck anywhere. The waterless wash is really for extremely minor dust on the car, I personally never use waterless wash unless I have been using waterless wash since the day I washed the car (especially if it's a daily driver). In other words, if you washed your car on day 1, used waterless wash on day 2 but didn't have time to do so on day 3 then personally i would stop using waterless wash and give the car a complete wash. Hope this helps
  3. Congratulations in advance for the wedding and I vote for a summer clinic
  4. Thanks. Couldn't agree more, I wish there was one compound/polisher to remove scratches and swirls and then follow up with the Fine Machine Polish. This car took me 9 hours and it was washed, cleaned and prepped by the dealer just 3 days prior. My whole body was sore for 3 days!
  5. Thanks. Energizer LED lights on a headband from Home Depot

    HUSKY Toolbox

Lol...i'm working on adding more tools
  7. 2 passes with the PC and Fine Machine Polish with the white 6 inch pad. After 2 passes, pretty much 90% of the scratches and swirls were gone.
  8. I initially thought that it won't take long but I started around 10 AM and delivered it around 7.30 so at least 9 hours of work. I wish I had the FLEX to cut down on time. Easiest part was the interior and the most difficult is the paint correction, this Benz has one hell of a clear coat, it took forever with the PC to get it to an excellent shape

    HUSKY Toolbox

Last year we got my dad a HUSKY Toolbox for father's day as he used to work with machines and warehouse equipments and he needed something to store his tools. This year he decided to focus on a different business and he no longer use tools so he decided to give me his, pretty much, brand new HUSKY. I didn't waste time putting all my tools and Adam's stuff that I need to store safely somewhere and not my detailing cart. Here are some pictures starting from the bottom going up My polishers (just got the FLEX yesterday from Eric) : Brand new towels and wash mits Polishing pads Brushes and misc. All other tools [ Of course I'm no where near done with this, I still need what other tools I need while I work on stuff to buy it and add it to the collection
  10. Last week a buddy of mine asked me to detail his 2008 Mercedes C300. He has just bought the car with less than 47000 miles on the ODO Upon picking up the car and inspecting it, I knew that even though the dealer has supposedly cleaned and prepped it, this wasn't going to be an easy task. The car had some sort of brown stains and gunk stuck on pretty much all of the lower 1/3 of the car and the body felt rough to the hand. Right away I did the bag test on the paint and realized that the car needs a CLAY badly! This car had the roughest surface I have ever felt. Anyway, we will get to that later as I go through the quick write up for that detail. Here are some pictures to show how the car was when I picked it up. First thing first, I started with the wheels, tires and wheel barrels and applied the Deep Wheel Cleaner which is specifically designed to remove brake dust on sports cars (In order to increase the stopping power of sports cars, the brake pads usually have a higher amount of metal, causing A LOT of brake dust). Before The Deep Wheel Cleaner in action After I then moved to wash the car by using a Foam Gun to reduce the potential of adding more scratches to the surface as I'm washing the car with the wash pads. Just after a wash I then went ahead and clayed the car, here's what I got on the clay bar (after a thorough wash!) I then went ahead and masked the car to make sure the polish doesn't get in contact with the rubber or in the nooks and crannies. It was time for polishing, so I started with Severe Swirls and Haze Remover and the green pad then Swirl and Haze Remover, Fine Machine Polish, Brilliant Glaze and Buttery Wax. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of in-process paint correction or comparison pictures (except for the heavily swirled B-pillars) as the time was running out and I needed to focus on the car instead of taking pictures but I have some pictures after the car was done and I felt comfortable with the time. B-pillars before B-pillars after Here you go Reflections....nice! Engine bay after Here are some pictures after I delivered it to the proud owner Next time, I will have to find someone to help me out with the in-process pictures as I find myself too focused on the detail that I don't take pictures or if I see something wrong I go ahead and fix it and after I fix it I realize that I should have taken a before picture first then an after. Thanks for looking
  11. My girlfriend's car had one bad headliner and personally I rented a steamer from A&P and used CUC to agitate the headliner first and then the steamer to suck the crap out. Looks brand new
  12. A lot of prayers for Jose for a full and complete recovery
  13. That's exactly right. Part of the law is that the government (IRS) will offer a user friendly simple to use software for small business to use online and submit the tax form etc. Also, they are only required to send the tax to the state where the buyer lives and not the municipality, in other words regardless where I live in NJ my sales tax will be sent to the state if New Jersey and not to the municipality and that if course, to make it easier for small businesses
  14. Well I hate to admit this but I'm pro this law! I know that I will be paying more on a lot if not most of my online purchases but its only fair. Consider this scenario (true story), I have a local bike shop that sells beautiful bicycles and has a bike service center attached to it. I went to him last summer to buy a good quality bicycle and not the crap they have at Walmart and target. I found a bicycle I like for approximately 400 bucks which was very comparable to Amazon except this guy will charge me 7% sales tax on top of the 400 while Amazon, because they don't have a physical location in NJ, won't charge me a penny for sales tax. Now who do you think I'm gonna buy from? Personally I like to shop locally because every time I see stores going out of business and 10 stores for lease in one plaza I just feel guilty some how. Physical small mom and pop stores are not competitive any more and part of the reason is not service and it's not the product but its the price mainly and tax is part of that along with the overhead. People still like to visit stores and touch and feel things before they buy, in fact retail stores are now combating what they call showrooming which is people going to the store to look, touch and feel and go back home to buy online and save money. Retail stores and online stores should compete in a leveled playfield.
  15. Same here, I never liked the glass MF towels and not just the Adam's ones but pretty much ANY glass MF, not just they lint, they are also not smooth for going back and forth over the glass I find the towel is getting stuck and that's after claying. The Waterless Wash towels are te best for glass
  16. That's one cool looking truck
