  1. you don't need to put labels on those just send them over here :D
  2. If your car stays in the garage you most likely won't need to clay again for at least another 6 months depending on how often you take it out. I clayed the vette last september and it still passes the plastic bag test other than that, your plan looks spot on
  3. I would imagine that we would, since the email came out today, and the wax still doesn't ship until tomorrow..at least I hope so, I'd like to have a special towel just for the paste:D
  4. You don't need to use the Detail Spray in excess when drying. I found that one long spray over a wide area (like both doors on one side) works well. You only are looking to lightly mist the surface (it also helps to blast off the majority of the water with a leaf blower or compressor if you have one, you'll have to use even less Detail Spray afterwards). Remember, this is after washing, therefore the amount of dirt on the car will be minimal, so there isn't a need to use as much DS as when you are using it with an MF towel to wipe off dust. Drying my mom's Ford Five Hundred, which is a considerably large vehicle, my bottle of Detail Spray went down maybe a tad more than 1/2"
  5. I'd say 1/2" or 3/4" depending on how big your panel gaps are. I use the 233+ green tape, 3/4" width, to keep from staining black plastic or getting polish stuck in the gaps
  6. Do you just use water? How much? I would have thought dryer sheets would be a bit rough and may scratch the finish
  7. If you look closely at the water on the car when you spray the Detail Spray on it, you can see the water almost shrivel up once the DS hits it, like salt on a slug. Paired with the great white towel, this is the easiest drying technique ever.
  8. I love BSG on my glass, I haven't needed to use my windshield washer fluid button ever since
  9. I've heard of people using a clay bar with APC as lubricant, just make sure you rinse the area with water immediately after.
  10. I wouldn't use it on top of Buttery Wax, only in place of. On top of Machine Wax I suppose would be fine, for your ungaraged daily drivers - a layer of protection from superwax and a layer of shine from the paste. I personally am going to continue to use the "MSW then BW" combination on our daily drivers, and use solely the paste on the Vette
  11. See, I don't torment my car like you do Bill. It has no idea what's in store for it, and I'm sure it will be pleasantly surprised when the paste gets here. Plus, I don't have to listen to it beg in the mean time :lolsmack: Two more weeks until the end of this semester, then I can spend a few days in the garage with this stuff

    Shine Snob!

The people at the dealership where I took the vette for emissions wanted to wash it for me, and then looked at me as if I had turned down the lottery when I explicitly told them not to When my dad picked up his new Silverado last year, he told them 'do not detail' (same dealership) and they were insulted... "have fun doing it yourself then haha".....ok we will
  13. This is odd...I just went to turtlewax.com to look at their paste, and all of a sudden there's a red laser beam floating above my head...
  14. MUST....HAVE....THE PRECIOUS............ [/gollum]
  15. Maybe...I doubt it sold out in 3 minutes, unless Jason bought it all
  16. Couple of questions though... The price is 59.95 but the description says 49.95, is this a mistake or an introductory price? Also the free applicators that it mentions, they are the ones that are pictured with the wax, correct? not these? The label seems to have changed as well from the photos we saw other members post earlier
  17. We don't have the time for patience...
  18. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b72/signedfor4/my%20corvette/WSIR5109/IMG_1309.jpg cool license plate...why buy foreign:patriot:
  19. I use the conditioner on interior plastic and vinyl as well as leather.
