  1. I use Revive both by hand and with the PC. When using with the PC I use about 4 pea-sized drops, very little (if any) pressure on setting of 4-5. I also don't move as slow as when I use SHR because you aren't doing any correcting. It works great on clearcoated wheels too, especially on the 4" pads
  2. awesome and I had no idea the crossfire's hood goes up 90 degrees
  3. if you're getting lint from towels that have already been washed then you should definitely do the bag test to see if you need clay. I waited a year in between claying on my vette and even though it didn't feel like it needed it again, I did a little spot to see anyway and was surprised at how much stuff came off. Give it a shot As for boiling, I think that's only if the towels lose their softness, I've never done it before
  4. When I had to strip the wax from my Taurus, I just did a quick pass of Revive polish by hand. I don't see the need for a dedicated wax remover. It says on the bottle already it removes wax Speaking of Taig and his concoctions, maybe a RP/water mix as a spray-on wax remover?
  5. I used the waterless wash for the first time today when I got to the Tuesday cruise to Amarante's, and I was very impressed with how easy it wiped off. I caught some light rain on the way home, and the few drops of water that didn't fly off during the drive left some spots, mostly on the back window. The waterless wash made quick work of them as well:rockon:
  6. Nah he just put a bunch of mirrors all over it:lolsmack: looks fantastic :2thumbs:
  7. I figured he was talking about Adam's old videos with the Gen1 pads so I fixed my post You'll get what's pictured on the product page and a new Adam's video is coming soon, they are in the process of editing
  8. The videos on the Adam's website were filmed 2 years ago and Adam's has added and improved many products since then. Take a look around the forum for Junkman's videos and you'll see the honeycomb pads in action: http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2386
  9. Pictures of AJ's car dirty? I thought we had to pay money to see those
  10. Thanks everybody we had a great time. As far as I know Tony has only 2 or 3 cans of In&Out left and he's actively seeking the closest replacement possible. He does on the other hand have a massive amount of the original super-plush MF towels (blue with black satin border) which he, I, and many others still prefer. If you want some, he's the one to call, $13 each or 3 for $30. After I finished cleaning and the judges came by, I went over to help him sell some stuff. He used his suburban, which hasn't been detailed in a looong time, as a guinea pig for demoing mainly the VRT on the tires and black plastic. VRT sold the most when I was there, as people were amazed that it turned everything so dark by stayed dry I think the club was looking into getting their members hooked on Adam's, a few of them were over talking to us early in the morning about ordering a bunch of product
  11. Pics from yesterday's show are below. Candlewood is definitely my favorite show of the season. Their club makes the day very enjoyable, unlike some other shows we've gone to (*cough* Rhode Island) Adam's was being represented there by the CT dealer and my dad's friend Tony. A lot of knowledge was passed on to browsers-become-buyers and FINALLY the C6's were the MINORITY of the show and were stuffed in the back This torch red 96 next to me had some nasty holograms on the hood that he said wouldn't come off. I grabbed some SHR from Tony (Adam's CT dealer)'s setup and did 1 pass by hand with about 8-10 onlookers and it made a considerable difference. He ended up buying the bottle. All that happened too fast for me to remember to grab my camera though
  12. have you tried claying the glass to remove the spots? you can use some shr or revive polish on your headlights and tail lights to improve the clarity and vrt is great for black trim, but if you apply it to a non-porous material like hard plastic, it helps to wipe off the excess with a towel afterwards to prevent it from running when it gets wet.
  13. dedicated applicator and towel solely for metal polishing and removal
  14. either polisher will work wonders. I have the 7424 and have no intention to upgrade to the xp because they do practically the same thing (the xp goes up to 6800opm whereas the original stops at 6000, but you rarely need to use it that high anyway). I think they even cost the same so it's up to you
  15. I wash cold by hand with woolite, and a tiny bit of bleach if the towels are stained or have any visible dirt. I don't put my MF in the dryer, I air dry them
  16. When my daily driver belonged to my mother (it's a 1995) it had gone months at a time without any wax on it at all. I had to clay it twice to get everything off, so don't be discouraged although I'm concerned about the time and amount of detail spray you said you used. You said 4 hours and 1/4-1/2 bottle. What kind of vehicle is this? It shouldn't take nearly that long on a regular car, unless you're like Bill and you factor in food and naps . I did the vette in about 20 minutes to a half hour and used almost a whole bottle of DS
  17. I don't think it's worth it to be picky with lights, as long as they're halogens. I don't know what brand or model mine is but it's got 2 lights, 2 intensity settings, 1000w, and cost $40
  18. I wouldn't got as far as saying I'm a outright professional, but I live in West Haven and would be willing to take a look at your car and see what we could do. I'm available Tuesdays and Thursdays all day starting next week
  19. When doing paint correction you want to work on one 2'x2' area until you get it to where you want in terms of perfection, this way you know what process you need to use to complete the rest of the car and get the results you are looking for. You may have needed to use some SHR before the FMP depending on the severity of the swirl marks. Take a picture to show us the swirls, and watch Junkman's paint correction videos if you haven't already
