  1. Wolf: That seems to do the trick! Thank you!! I wonder why all of the sudden why I needed to make that change?
  2. Wolf: I did make sure I was signed in and even signed out then cleared cache and history, then signed in again with no luck falcaineer: I just checked with you suggesting with no luck. Thanks guys for the tips. Maybe one of the adams team members will check the back end of the forum for me.
  3. The last 2-3 days I have been unable to use the "New Content" tab in the menu (top right, 4 squares inside a large square) on the mobile version of the website. I also checked the full site version. I cleared out cache and history in my browser. It returns with no new content. Even though I can see new content in the threads on the main page. I have been clicking each thread and reading the new topics in each thread that way. Thanks
  4. I did my full size truck a few panels at a time. Here is how I worked it. Stripped washed the whole truck. Day 1: clayed then 3 step polished the bed sides and tailgate then 1st coat paint sealed. Day 2: clayed then Microfiber blue pad and orange foam pad corrected drivers side 2 doors. Day 3: clayed then Microfiber blue pad and orange foam pad corrected hood and front bumper. Day 3: clayed then Microfiber blue pad and orange foam pad corrected passenger side 2 doors. Day 4: white pad corrected entire cab and 1st coat paint sealed. Day 5: 2nd coat of paint sealant on entire truck. I only had 1 set of pads of each step so it worked out well splitting it up into multiple days for time and equipment constraints. Took some planning for on my end for weather cooperation and work schedules but when the time came all went very smooth for my first time paint correcting.
  5. Did a quick wash of my 2014 crew cab Ram before 9am and before the temps got into the 90's with high humidity. Rinse, foam gun soak, wash pad wash, pool rinse, dried with new plush drying towel, quick wipe of rims with DS. Went really quick and smooth. Truck has recently been corrected, 2 coats of PS, 1 guard and gloss layer. This past Friday is when I did a full detail. Throughly cleaned the wheels, applied TS, applied VRT to all black trim, and also when I applied the Guard and Gloss. Today's cleaning was to get a coating of pollen and dust (stupid dirt parking lot at the park.) Trim and tires still looked really good. So I just touched up the rims to get the water spots off from today's wash. Those new drying towels work so much better than the older great whites. Used 1 towel for the whole truck. Had to wring it out once to get the front and rear bumper.
  6. I have had a permit for almost 10 years but never bought one. Have gone numerous times to the range and have had a lot of fun. One of these days I will buy one. I have 2 that is am looking at acquiring.... S&W M&P and a 1911.
  7. I have never had brilliant glaze before. Saw the video of Adam applying it and loved the results in the video. Went to my local Adams distributor and grabbed a bottle. Applied it that afternoon and am in love with it. Windows are still spotless and clean after 2 weeks. Normally I would have had to clean them already.
  8. Finally finished correcting my Ram 1500 crew cab. Spent 2 days last week doing the drivers side 2 doors and hood front bumper. Clay followed by 3 step correction, then 1 coat of paint sealant. Today I was able to do the passenger side 2 doors and the roof. Did 4 step correction on the 2 doors as I had some pretty nasty scratches on the 2 doors from a flagrant/rouge shopping cart. Got most of the scratches out. Will probably need a wet sand and re-polish but it cleaned up about 85-90% with the 4 step. Then sealed the doors and roof. Next week I will pull each wheel, thoroughly clean the rims and barrels and then seal them. Will also put a second coat of sealer on the entire truck. Pollen season is here and it's killing me...literally and figuratively. Allergies are raging. Truck is constantly covered. Can't see all the hard fine work I have put into it.
  9. Yup! All windows all the way around. And also Yes to the side mirror glass.
  10. Stripped washed the Ram on Thursday. Drove it to and from work Friday through Sunday. This am I used Rinseless for the first time to wash the bed sides and tailgate. Only working in sections to do my paint correction. There is a nice separation between the bed and the cab so I can correct and then seal without worrying about messing it up when I do the next section. Worked out pretty well. Clayed the bed sides and tailgate. Then I started the paint correction with The PC7424. I started with PCP and orange pad first but it needed more. So I stepped up to the blue microfiber pad and HCP. Then went over it with the PCP and orange pad. Then white pad and PFP. Once the 2 sides and rear was done I used the grey sealant pad and LPS. I did 2 coats, waiting about an hour and half between the coats. Very pleased with the results! First time doing a paint correction. Was very hesitant about doing it. But I took the steps slowly. Followed the videos and directions. I think I got the paint to about 90-95% corrected. Thats all I was looking for. Took me from time of set up until after all pads were cleaned and supplies were stored away about 5 hours. As time permits I will do the rest of truck. Will probably have to do 1 step a day for the front (microfiber and HCP one day, then Orange pad and PCP the next, etc..) There is no breaks in the body that would allow me to do full correction at a time.
  11. This???????? And change the remote control door opener codes!
  12. Nice video and good technique. The only advice I will give, and it's very minor, on your next video, just move the power washer away from the camera. It killed the voice audio.
  13. I have used TID before on my weather techs and it is slippery. Even more so when your shoes are wet.
  14. As the more people above you posted, sealant won't protect from swirls. Sealant protects the paint/clear coat from UV rays from the sun, bug guts, water marks/etching, etc. It's a layer of protection. Daily driver must have (the sealant) along with HGG.
  15. I agree that it could be confusing to new members but... this forum has an auto abbreviation translation (auto correct). If people use the correct abbreviations to speed up, make easier, or any other reason, when they hit the post button, the forum will automatically spell out the abbreviation. Then there will be no need for a second "translation abbreviation" sticky page. There is a sticky thread on one of the pages that spells out all of the abbreviations that the forum auto corrects for you. I just looked for it, and couldn't find it. Maybe I am not looking in the right place right now. Maybe one of the Adams members can fill in the link for me.
  16. Knowing BRZN, he probably did coat it!
  17. Took a double take but nice model. Lol
  18. You could do that...or if you have APC add an ounce or 2 of that to your shampoo for stripping.
  19. Ugh... I am going in tomorrow am (Tuesday) for my day shift. Looking like I will be staying the night there because I have to be back for Wednesday day shift as well. Terrible timing for this storm! I love, well maybe like, the winter. But once we got a taste of warm weather I want that warm weather to stay. I would be happy if it stayed winter all winter. None of this fall, winter, spring, winter blizzard BS!
  20. Hahaha.... This is the scene I was talking about when I made a post inquiring about it a few months ago. Glad you were able to confirm what I thought I saw. I didn't have DVR where I was watching and couldn't rewind to confirm. ????
  21. I do get to clean it once a few times during the winter. When it's above 30 I will go to the coin op down the street with my bucket of suds with warm water from home. And I use probably the same gloves from lowes LFairbanks uses. Forearm length rubber gloves with a wool/fleece type of liner to them. Great gloves. Drying gets hard. Literally. I have had the truck freeze up while rinsing a couple times.
  22. I also live in CT and struggle in the winter to rinse my truck let alone wash my truck. I have yet to find a coin op that has heated water anywhere near me.
  23. Totally over thought this one. I built an undercarriage sprayer last year with misc brass plumbing parts and drilled some holes.
  24. Old polishes are still good to use!!
  25. Yea. With the new kit they have with 4 pads, 3 polishes, the pad brush, and adding the gray sealant pad, I will be right there with you at the $150 mark. Not exactly what I wanted to buy before the holidays and during winter months but when the deal presents itself I couldn't pass it up.
